School Donation Project by Zaman and Mekong charity

    On 3rd August 2016 we had opening achievement ceremony the guest of honor presides by H.E. Hang Chuon Naron Minister of Ministry of education youth and sport, district leader, department of education in Phnom Penh and students around 400 students. This charity project has been carried out by Zaman International School students, staff and parents together with the affiliation of Mekong Charity. During solidarity week, students ran campaigns like food sales, concerts and cash donations to collect an amount of money to help needy public schools in Cambodia. The project consists of library renovation, water well construction, and reading books, posters, PCs, printers and stationary packs donations for 7 schools. The locations were requested by the Ministry of Education. In each location, the project was immediately implemented. The aim of the charity project is to teach students the values of philanthropy, altruism and the culture of helping and caring for others. This is the second project Mekong Charity and Zaman International School implemented together with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. Last year, three schools were equipped with library renovations, toilets, water wells and educational materials.
